Email, Call & Text Compliance Policy
Last updated: June 2026
How AutoPath complies with the federal CAN-SPAM Act of 2003, the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the FCC's National Do Not Call rules, and the CTIA Messaging Principles.
CAN-SPAM Act compliance (email)
Every commercial email sent by AutoPath complies with 15 U.S.C. § 7701 et seq.:
- Accurate headers. The "From," "To," "Reply-To," and routing information identify AutoPath and the originating sender truthfully.
- Non-deceptive subject lines. Subject lines reflect the actual content of the message.
- Clear ad identification. Promotional emails are identifiable as advertisements.
- Valid physical postal address. Every commercial email includes our address: Murgado Ford & Lincoln of Chicago, 4630 W Diversey Ave, Chicago, IL 60639.
- Clear opt-out mechanism. Every commercial email contains a one-click unsubscribe link that remains live for at least 30 days after sending.
- 10-day honor window. Opt-out requests are honored within 10 business days, and the suppressed address is retained indefinitely so it is not re-mailed.
- No selling or transferring opted-out addresses. Suppressed addresses are never sold, leased, exchanged, or transferred.
- Vendor accountability. AutoPath is responsible for messages sent on its behalf by any third party.
Unsubscribe at any time: /unsubscribe or click the unsubscribe link in any AutoPath email.
TCPA & National Do Not Call (calls and SMS)
- AutoPath obtains prior express written consent before sending autodialed marketing calls or texts, as required by 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200(a)(2).
- We maintain an internal Do Not Call list and scrub against the National DNC Registry before initiating any telemarketing campaign.
- Telemarketing calls are placed only between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. in the called party's local time zone.
- SMS recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out, HELP for assistance. Confirmation is sent once; no further marketing texts follow.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Identification: every marketing call discloses the caller's name (AutoPath / Murgado Ford), the name of the entity on whose behalf the call is made, and a callback number.
Your opt-out rights
- Email: unsubscribe or reply with "unsubscribe" in the subject.
- Calls & texts: submit a Do Not Call / Do Not Text request.
- SMS: reply STOP to any AutoPath text.
- All channels: visit the Consent Center to manage every communication preference at once.
- Data rights: request export or deletion of your data from the Account Security page.

AutoPath retains opt-out, consent, and suppression records for a minimum of five (5) years. All outbound messaging systems automatically scrub against the internal suppression lists prior to send. Violations may be reported to compliance@autopathchicago.com.
